Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our DIY woodworking blueprints, tools, printing, and building support.
What do I receive when I purchase a plan?
You will receive an instant digital download containing a highly detailed PDF package. This includes 3D exploded assembly diagrams, detailed step-by-step instructions, a complete shopping/hardware list, and precise cut lists to save material and prevent waste.
Are measurements in Imperial, Metric, or both?
Every single blueprint we design includes BOTH Imperial (inches/feet) and Metric (millimeters/meters) measurements. You do not need to do any conversion math yourself; we have done it all carefully.
How do I print the PDF plans?
Our PDF plans are optimized for standard Letter size (8.5" x 11") and A4 paper. You can print them on any home printer or take them to a local print shop (Staples, FedEx, etc.). We recommend printing in color to clearly see the color-coded 3D diagrams.
Do I need professional woodworking tools?
No! Most of our plans are designed specifically for DIY beginners and weekend builders. The core tools required are standard ones: a miter saw or circular saw, a drill/driver, a pocket hole jig (optional but recommended for clean joints), a tape measure, and basic clamps.
How much does the lumber and material usually cost?
Building it yourself saves 70% to 90% compared to buying pre-made furniture. A typical mobile coffee cart or farmstand costs around $150 to $300 in lumber and hardware (depending on wood grade), compared to $1,500+ retail.
What is your refund policy for digital downloads?
Since digital downloads are instantly accessible, we generally do not offer refunds once a file is downloaded. However, your satisfaction is our absolute priority! If you encounter any issue or duplicate purchase, reach out to us at support@buildwoodplans.com, and we will make it right.
How can I contact support if I get stuck while building?
We provide free builder support! If you have questions about a specific step, need clarification on a cut list, or want advice on materials, simply email support@buildwoodplans.com. Our team of expert woodworkers will reply with step-by-step guidance.
